1K Guidelines

All applicants will be contacted after a committee makes decisions on the winners.

Before submitting an application, please read and prayerfully consider the guidelines for this project.

Student-Led
This ministry project is to be led by a group of students. Join together to meet a need in your community. It is important that an adult advisor is in full support of the project.

Local
This ministry project is to be carried out within your home community or surrounding area. Look in your own community for needs and opportunities.

Identified Need
When completing the 1K Challenge Application, clearly outline the need in the community and explain how the ministry project can respond to the need.

Ongoing
The hope of YouthWorks is that the ministry project can be ongoing. Our desire is that you create a ministry plan that can have a continual (weekly/monthly) impact.

People-Oriented
We challenge you to create a plan that is relational and impacts people.

YouthWorks Investment
YouthWorks will fund up to 10 awards of up to $1,000 toward the ministry project.   

Share Your Story
Whether or not your application is selected for an award, YouthWorks wants to hear your story! If you do receive an award, you will be required to regularly report how the grant was used and its impact in your community.
